Opposing Papers on Potential Impact of North Carolina’s Proposed Constitutional Amendment Banning Same-sex Marriage

April 22nd, 2012, 11:55 pm by

There are two key papers written by legal scholars regarding the potential legal impacts of the proposed amendment.

Professor Maxine Eichner from the UNC School of Law lists the possible impacts beyond just barring same-sex marriage, while Professor Lynn Buzzard from Campbell University’s School of Law argues against Eichner’s list.

Both papers make excellent arguments and are interesting to read. I recommend keeping an open mind while reading the paper that you’re least likely to agree…You’ll still learn something.
